The company was formed over 40 years ago in 1976 by Patsy Bloom and David Simpson. Over the years, Petplan has become probably the most well known pet insurance brand in the UK, certainly the largest, insuring over 1.3 million pets, dogs, cats rabbits and even equine insurance, which is more than any other pet insurance provider.
Now part of the Allianz Plc Group, Petplan have won numerous awards over the years for their performance including "Your dog" and "Your Cat" best insurance winner in 2020 and are one of the UK's favourite pet insurers.
You can choose between two types of policy, time limited or lifetime, with different levels of vet fees cover to suit.
