Natwest Bank are part of Natwest Holdings, an intermediate holding company for the Natwest Group's retail banking interests in the United Kingdom.
The Natwest Pet Insurance policy is only available to Natwest Bank Premier account holders.
The policy is underwritten by U K Insurance Limited (UKI) who were established in 1974 and underwrites policies for many well-known brands.

Your pet must be older than 8 weeks.
Your pet must have all routine vaccinations recommended by a vet.
You must take care of your pet and arrange to have any treatment to prevent illness or injury.
You and your pet must live in the United Kingdom and this must be your main home.
If your pet is a dog it must wear a collar with your details on it.
You must pay for your pet to have a yearly dental examination and carry out any recommended treatments.
The Natwest pet insurance policy is 5 star rated and offers up to £8,000 of vet fees cover per year.
This is a list of the most important exclusions
The Natwest Pet Insurance policy does not cover;
The policy covers up to £1,000 for complementary treatment, such as acupuncture, aromatherapy
and homeopathy treatment carried out directly by a vet and physiotherapy, osteopathy, hydrotherapy and chiropractic
treatment recommended by and carried out under the direction of a vet.
The policy also includes help of up to £250, if your pet has a change to it's normal mental or emotional state that could not be prevented by training
£250 for transportation costs for referral to another vet.
The policy will pay up to £250 towards a clinical diet to treat a condition, expect in the case of a diet to help your pet to lose weight or to prevent any condition.
The policy will also pay up to £500 for dental treatment, as long as your pet has received a dental examination within the last 12 months and any treatment carried out within three months.
The Natwest policy covers both MRI/CT scans and any cruciate ligament claim up to the maximum vet fees limit.
Natwest covers the cost of putting your pet to sleep up to £100, provided it is on the recommendation of your vet.
The policy will not cover the cost of putting your pet to sleep as a result of illness if your pet is a dog and is aged nine years or older or your pet is a cat and is aged 11 years or older.
The policy does not cover the cost of cremation or burial.
The policy allows you to insure all your pets (cats or dogs) under the same policy with one renewal date.
Any pre-existing medical condition that your pet had or showed symptoms for, prior to taking out a policy would not be covered.
The policy specifically excludes any claim relating to pregnancy, breeding or giving birth.
The policy can be extended to cover your pet whilst on a journey to one of the countries listed in the Governments PETS scheme.
The scheme allows your pet to travel without the need for quarantine (subject to terms and conditions)
Cover is extended to include emergency vets fees, quarantine costs, emergency repatriation, loss of your pets passport and reasonable costs for repeat tapeworm treatment and the cost of putting your pet to sleep whilst on a journey.
Natwest Pet Insurance will not cover the costs in respect of any illness, or loss by straying that occurred in the first 14 days of the policy.
If your pet is lost or stolen you are unable to claim until after 45 days has elapsed and your pet is still missing.
You are required to pay the first £100 of any claim.
£250 in respect of dog liability claims.
Once your pet reaches the age of 7, you will be required to contribute an additional 20% towards any claim.
For example is your claim is for £1,500, your contribution would be £100 plus 20% of the balance £280, totalling £380.00.
The 20 page policy wording is nicely laid out and included coloured headings.
A summary of limits tells you specifically how much is covered and a comprehensive index helps you navigate the sections.
In readability tests, the policy wording had mixed results scoring between 42.9 and 71.7 out of 100 which meant that some sections were fairly easy and some difficult to read.
The wording had a reading age of between 11 - 22 depending on which section you were reading. This means that a person with a reading age of 11-22 years should be able to understand the policy.
