Confidas is a trading style of Smith Greenfield Services Ltd, a company authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Confidas Pet Insurance is underwritten by UK Insurance Limited who are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. UK Insurance are the UK's leading personal lines motor and home underwriter, and hold an ‘A1’ credit rating from Moody’s.

Your pet must be older than 8 weeks and not show any vicious tendencies.
You and your pet's main home must be in the United Kingdom.
Your pet must be free from injury or illness at the start of the insurance.
Confidas offer two policies Pet Lux and Pet Max.
We couldn't find any difference between the two policies as they both cover vets fees up to a maximum benefit of £8,000. This type of policy is known as a maximum benefit policy.
This is a list of important exclusions. Confidas Pet Insurance will not cover:
Your pet must wear a collar that shows your details
You must pay for your pet to have a dental examination every year and to carry out any treatment recommended by your vet.
You must provide written notice of all accidents, illness or disease within 90 days of the incident occurring.
Both policies cover complementary treatments up to £1,000
Complementary treatments cover Acupuncture, aromatherapy and homeopathy, physiotherapy, osteopathy, hydrotherapy and chiropractic treatment recommended by and carried out under the direction of a vet.
The policy also cover the treatment of behavioural disorders up to £250, provided they are carried out by a suitably qualified professional.
Both policies cover the cost of clinical diets up to £250
It does not cover any other wet or dry food, or clinical diets prescribed solely to help your pet lose weight or as a preventative measure.
Both policies cover up to £500 towards the cost of dental treatment. You must make sure your pet has had a dental check up within the last 12 months and carried out any treatment within three months of being recommended by the vet.
This section does not cover the removal of first teeth if your pet is more than 18 weeks old.
Both policies cover MRI/CT Scans and Cruciate Ligament claims up to the maximum vet fees limit of £8,000.
Both policies cover the cost of putting your pet to sleep up to £100, provided that this has been recommended by the vet.
It does not cover any costs associated with burial or cremation.
The policy states "You can insure all your pets under one policy"
Confidas pet policies will not cover any condition that was known about whether diagnosed or undiagnosed, before the start of the policy
There is no cover under either policy for any costs associated with your pet's Pregnancy.
You are covered to take your pet abroad under the governments "PETS" scheme, up to a maximum of 3 journeys and 30 days each journey.
Vets fees cover is extended to cover this period, together with quarantine costs, emergency repatriation and loss of pet passport.
The policy will also pay up to £200 if your pet has to be put to sleep whilst on the journey.
The policy runs for 12 consecutive months and is renewable annually.
Confidas or their representatives, will write to your at least 21 days before the renewal date, with details of any changes in the terms, conditions or premium. If you have signed up to automatic renewal by debit, credit card or direct debit, your policy will renew automatically, unless you advise the company to stop the renewal by contacting the before the renewal date.
You have 14 days in which to change your mind. If you cancel within 14 days and have not made a claim, you will be entitled to a full refund of any premium paid.
If you cancel the policy outside the 14 day window and have not made a claim, you will be entitled to a refund of the unused portion of your premium.
If you have made a claim and wish to cancel the policy, you will be entitled to no refund.
If you need to make a claim, you can call their claims handlers who are available 24/7 to make all the necessary arrangements.
Your pet is covered against accidents from the start of the policy. Any illness that occurs within the first 14 days of the start of the policy is not covered.
You will need to pay the first £100 in respect of dogs and £75 in respect of cats of any claim that you make under the policy.
When your cat or dog reaches the age of 7, you will be required to pay an additional 20% of the cost of any claims.
For example if the claim was for £1,000 you would have to pay £100 excess plus 20% of the balance totalling £280.
