It has never been more important, to choose the right policy because, as the current Coronavirus Pandemic has highlighted, the wrong choice can have disastrous financial and health consequences, if you have to claim whilst abroad.
Once you have read this review of Admiral and compared polices using our unique search facility, you will have all the information you need to make an informed choice.

Claims for loss or damage to personal possessions are paid based on the value of the goods at the time that they are lost and not on a ‘new for old basis’ or replacement cost basis; thus a deduction is made for wear, tear, and depreciation, bearing in mind the age of the items.
If claiming for goods that were stolen or lost you should produce proof of purchase of the original goods by way of receipts, credit card or bankstatements, as failure to do so may affect the assessment of the claim.
The policy excludes cover against terrorism. This does not apply to claims under the Medical Emergency & repatriation and Personal Accident sections of the policy.
The Gold and Platinum policy includes cover in respect of alternative accommodation, returning home early, refund of paid excursions and pre booked accommodation as a result of fire, storm, lightning, avalanche, landslide, explosion, hurricane, earthquake, volcanic activity (including ash cloud), flood, tidal wave, tsunami, medical epidemic or pandemic.
