Who are AA Travel Insurance

The Automobile Association or The AA as it is commonly known, was founded in 1905. Over the years it has grown from the local AA patrolman looking after your car breakdown, to a multi-national organisation who provide insurance, loans, driving lessons, motoring advice and Holiday, Caravan, Camping and Restuarant Reviews.

The AA changed their travel insurance policies and underwriter in April 2018. Travel insurance is now underwritten by Axa Insurance Plc a well respected and Financially solid international Insurer.

You can now choose from a wide range of travel insurance policies to suit most holidaymakers. Single Trip, Annual Travel as well as a policy for Backpackers. Choose from Bronze, Silver and the four star rated Gold policy.

Existing Automobile members get enhanced benefits under the Silver and Gold cover. As an AA member you benefit from a zero excess, up to £1,000 for medically necessary physiotherapy upon return to the UK, replacement of prescription medicine of up to £50 and up to £1500 of baggage claims settled on a new for old basis.
